How are claims handled?+

What does the coverage actually apply to?+
Accidental damage caused by a guest during a stay, documented against the reservation it belongs to. It is protection built into the booking flow rather than a separate policy you administer.
Do I still need to take a security deposit?+
Many operators stop, because the deposit exists mostly to cover the same risk — and removing it measurably improves conversion. That is your call to make per listing, not something Boom changes on your behalf.
