Boom

Hostaway
Boom vs Hostaway: compare your daily operation.
Compare Hostaway and Boom on the workflows your team runs every day. Both offer AI tools. Test the automation, the reporting and the full operating cost on your portfolio.
Somewhere between property twenty and property eighty, most operators quietly acquire a second job. Nobody interviews for it. It has no title. It arrives as a browser window with eleven tabs open.
Hostaway is good at what it is: a fast channel manager, a clean inbox, and a marketplace of more than two hundred partner integrations.
That number is the pitch, and for some operators it is the right pitch. Pick the best pricing tool. Pick the best housekeeping app. Wire them together and you have exactly the stack you wanted.
You also have five vendors, five contracts, five renewal dates, and the part nobody budgets for: five seams.
An integration is not a connection. It is a promise between two companies who do not share a roadmap or a support desk.
Most days the promise holds. When it does not, the failure is quiet. A task closed in the ops app that the PMS still shows as open. A contractor invoice that never reached the owner statement. A sync that stopped at 3am and told nobody.
You find out from a guest. Then you open two tickets, and each vendor can only see their own end of the wire — so the problem belongs to whoever gives up last.
This page is not a claim that Hostaway cannot do these things. It can reach almost all of them. That is why the table says Partner instead of a red cross. But a partner tool only ever sees its own slice of your business, and bills on its own cycle.
Boom is the other answer. Pricing, operations, accounting, protection, websites, upsells and the guest experience are not integrated — they are the same system. And an agentic manager called BAM reads across all of it without being asked.
Here is the comparison. Anything marked Partner comes from Hostaway's own marketplace, checked in September 2026 and listed at the end of this article.
Start with the AI rows. They are the ones that matter.
Hostaway supports automatic replies as well as AI-assisted analysis. Compare the complete workflow and the package you are buying. Confirm uncertain capabilities directly with each vendor.

Notice how few crosses there are. Hostaway is not a thin product. It is a capable one with a deliberate strategy: be excellent at distribution and messaging, and let a marketplace supply the rest.
But it hands you a job. Somebody has to pick the partners, connect them, and notice when one drifts out of sync. On a small portfolio that is you, and it takes an hour a week. On a growing one it becomes a role.
You didn't set out to become a systems integrator.
Two hundred integrations sounds impressive until you count what it is a number of: trials to run, contracts to sign, logins to hand out, renewals to remember. Then multiply it by everyone who has to learn where things live.
Boom's answer is not a better integration. It is not needing one.
An integration moves records. It does not move context.
Compare the data each workflow can use and the action it can take. Run the same example on both systems, with your required integrations and approvals.
Hostaway’s CoHost analyses account data without changing it. AI Replies is separate and can send automatically under configured rules. Ask for the permissions and escalation behaviour of each workflow.
For connected tools, verify which records are available and which updates can be written back. Integration scope matters more than the number of logos.
Boom has no edge to stop at. The guest, the stay, the property, the task, the cost and the owner statement are one system, not five. So the AI answers the guest, opens the task, makes the offer and posts the result — with no hand-off anywhere.
The stack is free. Running it isn't.
Partner subscriptions at least arrive with a number on them. The expensive part has no invoice: the hours spent running the seams, and the revenue nobody is asked to create. Here is what that costs a 50-listing portfolio:
The integration tax
Five partner products, plus the guest messages your team still answers by hand. None of this is anyone's job title — it is everyone's afternoon:
The commission you don't have to pay
Boom's AI discovery, lead capture and follow-up move bookings from the OTAs to your own site — the one place in the stack where a percentage point compounds:
Two hundred integrations, and not one of them is watching the business.
Every product in the stack is brilliant about its own column and blind to the rest. The pricing engine cannot see the failed inspection. The ops app cannot see the owner statement. Nothing watches all of it — except you, on a Sunday.
BAM is Boom's Business Agentic Manager, and that is exactly the job it does. It reads conversations, bookings, operations, maintenance, finance and owner activity together, finds the risk or the opportunity, and hands you the next action.
What it sounds like when the stack collapses into one system.
From Plymouth to Nairobi. These operators arrived from different systems and different stacks — press play and hear what actually changed.

There is a version of this decision where Hostaway is the right answer.
We would rather say it here than let you find out later. Hostaway is a good product with a coherent strategy, and for plenty of operators the marketplace is exactly right.
Stay on Hostaway ifYou already have a stack you love
- You have already invested in tools you trust — a pricing engine your revenue manager likes, an ops app your cleaners actually open. Replacing them would cost more than the seams do.
- You enjoy owning the integrations, or you have someone who does. Two hundred partners is leverage in the hands of a person who wants to pull it.
- Your portfolio is small enough that one person holds the whole stack in their head, so the hand-offs are cheap to police.
- You need one specific partner app that exists in their marketplace and nowhere else.
Move to Boom ifYou are buying the next ten years, not this year
- You want AI that closes the loop — answers the guest, opens the task, makes the offer, posts to the books — rather than AI that waits to be asked.
- You want an AI that can see past the PMS: no integration hands a model the context inside the tool the record came from.
- You want something watching the whole business at once, so a failed hand-off is caught by software rather than by a guest.
- You are growing, and the stack is starting to cost you a role rather than an hour a week.
- You need trust accounting, which nobody in that marketplace supplies.
Unwinding a stack is easier than building one was.
You are not changing software. You are retiring five integrations, and a dedicated team that has done it hundreds of times does the retiring with you.
Kickoff & stack map
We chart your properties, channels and workflows — and draw the map of which partner currently owns which part of the job.
Data migration
Listings, bookings, guests, rates and history come across from Hostaway, plus the records living inside the partner tools.
Team training
One interface instead of six. Hands-on sessions for front desk, field ops and finance until nobody has to remember which app does what.
Connect & validate
Channels, payments and accounting connect and reconcile. We verify every calendar together before anything goes live.
Go live & retire the partners
You switch with 24/7 support beside you — then work down the stack map from step one, cancelling as you go.
Keep Hostaway. Take the AI anyway.
You do not have to migrate to act on any of this. BAM and the Boom Apps run on top of Hostaway with one read-only key. Nothing moves, nothing changes for your team, and you cancel nothing. It is the quickest way to get real AI into your business.
One read-only key
Paste a key from the Hostaway account you already run. Live in about ten minutes, inside the app — no migration, no credit card.
BAM reads your portfolio
Twenty-four months of reservations, your listings, rates and availability, guest messages and reviews, and your payouts, fees and expenses.
You ask it anything
Occupancy, P&L, a guest thread from March, which cleaner keeps running late — answered in seconds, with the rows it used shown.
Then you let it act
Write access is granted per action — pricing, messaging, tasks — and every automated action is logged, attributed and reversible.
BAM on your Hostaway
The Business Agentic Manager, reading your live portfolio. An intelligent agent, not a chatbot — and read-only until you decide otherwise.
- BAM Chat — ask anything; it already knows
- BAM Studio — describe a report, get it owner-ready
- BAM Playbooks — write the rule once, it runs
- BAM Optimizers — rates, min-stays, gap nights, fees

- Hostaway's own marketplace, which advertises "200+ partner-built integrations" across categories including revenue management, operations, guest experience and finance, and links out to each partner to open an account. Checked September 2026.
- Hostaway AI Replies documentation and CoHost documentation. AI scope reviewed 20 October 2026; vendor descriptions, not independent performance tests.
- Partner names used as examples — PriceLabs, Wheelhouse, Beyond, Breezeway, Ximplifi, Safely, ChargeAutomation — are listed by Hostaway in its own marketplace. They are named to illustrate categories, not to characterise those products, all of which are capable in their own right.
- Boom platform figures — 20,000+ properties, 30+ countries, up to 90% of routine messages handled, +25% direct bookings, 1–4 week onboarding — are Boom's own product and customer numbers. Every customer quote on this page is published in full on our case studies page.
- The 50-listing model is illustrative. It uses only the assumptions printed inside each calculation, so you can substitute your own — including the vendor-admin hours, which vary enormously by team. Ask us and we will run it against your portfolio instead.
- Trademarks and product names belong to their respective owners and are used here to identify the products being compared. Hostaway has not reviewed or endorsed this page. If you believe anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
