Boom
VS
Lodgify
Lodgify was built for a handful of keys.
Boom was built for a hundred.
Lodgify's own FAQ says who it is for: one property, or thirty. Four plans, three add-ons, and an AI Co-Host in beta that suggests and waits for you. Boom starts where that ladder ends — a manager's PMS where owner accounting, operations and an AI that acts are the product, not the top rung.
There is a particular afternoon most property managers remember. It is the one where a tool that had been perfectly good for years stopped being enough, and nothing about the tool had changed. You had.
Lodgify is a very good version of that tool. It is a website builder that grew a channel manager, then an inbox, then a plan ladder — Basic, Starter, Professional, Ultimate — and it is honest about who it serves. Its own pricing FAQ says so: “whether you have one property or 30+.” Its AI Co-Host page says so twice more: “the most powerful AI assistant for independent hosts.”
That is not a criticism. It is a design brief, and Lodgify has executed it well enough to be the first PMS thousands of hosts ever pay for.
A host manages properties. A manager manages owners, staff, contractors, statements and a reputation. The software for one is not the software for the other.
Look at where the manager's features sit on Lodgify's ladder. Task management, check-in automation, owner payments and statements, guest invoices, advanced analytics, the guest app — every one of them appears for the first time on Ultimate, the top plan. Dynamic pricing, smart locks and damage protection are not on the ladder at all; they are add-ons on top of it.
This page is not a claim that Lodgify cannot do these things. Most of them it can, on the right rung. That is why the table below says Ultimate plan or Add-on rather than a red cross.
But a top rung is still a rung. Trust accounting is not on it. An AI that finishes the guest conversation, opens the task and posts the charge to an owner statement is not on it — Lodgify's Co-Host, by its own description, “suggests. You decide.” Boom was built from the first line for the operator who has owners to answer to, and it put the AI inside the business rather than on top of a plan.
Here is the comparison. Anything marked Ultimate plan or Add-on comes from Lodgify's own pricing page, checked in September 2026 and listed at the end of this article.
Read the AI rows first. Then read which rung the rest is on.
Lodgify has AI: an inbox that drafts, and a Co-Host in beta that lines up suggestions for you to approve. Boom's AI finishes the job. The rest of the table asks a manager's question: is it there, is it on the top plan, or is it sold separately?

Read the coral pills down the Lodgify column and a pattern appears. They cluster in one place: operations, owners and finance — the rows a manager lives in. That is exactly where a host's tool would put its top plan, because a host reaches those rows last.
A manager reaches them first. Owner statements are not an advanced feature when you have owners. So the useful question is not whether Lodgify can climb to them. It is what the climb costs, and what is still missing at the top.
Four rungs up, the manager's features begin.
Lodgify's plan ladder is a sensible way to sell software to hosts: pay for what you use, climb when you grow. For a manager, the climb is the whole business. You do not want task management, owner statements and analytics when you are large. You want them on day one, because your owners do.
“You approve, it executes” is a promise to a host, not to a manager.
Lodgify's AI Co-Host is the most interesting thing on its roadmap, and it is worth reading its page carefully. It watches your bookings, lines up a suggested action, and then — its words — “nothing is sent, changed, or scheduled until you say so.”
For a host with three villas, that is exactly right. Approving a handful of suggestions a day is the job. For a manager with eighty, an AI that queues eighty approvals has not removed the work. It has reformatted it.
Boom's AI was built to finish. It answers the guest in their language, opens the task for the cleaner, makes the late-checkout offer, takes the payment and posts it to the owner's statement — and tells you what it did, with every action logged and reversible.
The subscription is the cheap part. The gaps are the expensive part.
Lodgify's prices are modest and its booking fee is zero; we are not going to pretend otherwise. What a manager pays for is everything the ladder does not reach. Here is what that looks like on a 30-property portfolio managed for owners:
The owner month-end, by hand
Owner statements arrive on Lodgify's top plan; trust accounting does not arrive at all. So someone reconciles payouts, expenses and owner balances every month, for every owner:
The inbox, answered by people
Sixty guest messages a property a month, four minutes each — the work Boom's AI resolves without a draft waiting for a human:
A co-host waits for a decision. BAM brings you the ones that matter.
BAM is Boom's Business Agentic Manager — part of the platform, not a beta you join a waitlist for. It watches conversations, bookings, operations, maintenance, finance and owner activity all at once, and brings you the next thing to do.
On a small portfolio, one person can hold the whole business in their head. BAM is what holds it when the portfolio is bigger than a head.
Operators who grew past the ladder.
From one property to a hundred, and from twenty to three hundred and sixty — press play and hear how the operators who outgrew a host's toolkit run their business now.

There is a version of this decision where Lodgify is the right answer.
A fair number of the people reading this page should stay where they are, and we would rather say so than sell them a platform they do not need yet. Lodgify is excellent at the job it was designed for.
You are a host, and you like being one
- You own what you host, with a handful of properties and no owners to report to — the plan ladder was drawn for exactly you, and the lower rungs are genuinely good value.
- The direct booking website is your priority. Lodgify started as a website builder, and its no-code site and booking widget remain among the best in the category.
- You want to approve every AI action yourself, and you have the hours to do it. The Co-Host's “you decide” model is a feature at that scale, not a limit.
- You are price-sensitive above all, and a zero booking fee on a modest subscription matters more than what the subscription leaves out.
Move to Boom ifYou manage properties for other people
- You have owners, which means statements, trust accounting and questions about March — and you want them answered by the system, not by a spreadsheet.
- You want AI that closes the loop — answers the guest, opens the task, makes the offer, posts to the books — rather than a co-host that queues approvals for you.
- You are past thirty properties or heading there, and you want a platform whose floor is the top of the ladder, with nothing left to unlock.
- You want an agentic manager reading across every part of the operation at once, because the operation is now bigger than one person's attention.
- You would rather have onboarding done with a dedicated team in 1–4 weeks than climb a plan ladder one renewal at a time.
Leaving a host's tool is simpler than leaving a marketplace.
Lodgify portfolios are usually tidy: one system, a website, and a channel or three. That makes this one of the quicker migrations we do — the work is in the owners and the finance you are adding, not in what you are leaving.
Kickoff & audit
We map your properties, channels, rates and workflows — and, for the first time, your owners, their agreements and how each one gets paid.
Data migration
Listings, bookings, guests, rates and history come across. Your Lodgify record moves with you, not away from you.
Team training
Hands-on sessions for front desk, operations and finance — including the owner statements and trust accounting your old tool never had.
Connect & reconcile
Channels, payments and accounting connect and balance. We verify every calendar and every opening balance together.
Go live
You switch with 24/7 support at your side, your direct booking site re-pointed, and the AI running in co-pilot mode until you trust it.
Keep Lodgify. Take the AI anyway.
You do not have to migrate to act on any of this. BAM and the Boom Apps run on top of Lodgify through a read-only connection. Nothing moves, nothing changes for your team, and you cancel nothing. It is the quickest way to put an AI that acts on top of a PMS whose AI asks.
One read-only connection
The Boom team connects your Lodgify account for you — read-only, no migration, no credit card, nothing changed on the Lodgify side.
BAM reads your portfolio
Twenty-four months of reservations, your listings, rates and availability, guest messages and reviews, and your payouts, fees and expenses.
You ask it anything
Occupancy, P&L, a guest thread from March, which cleaner keeps running late — answered in seconds, with the rows it used shown.
Then you let it act
Write access is granted per action — pricing, messaging, tasks — and every automated action is logged, attributed and reversible.
BAM on your Lodgify
The Business Agentic Manager, reading your live portfolio. An intelligent agent, not a chatbot — and read-only until you decide otherwise.
- BAM Chat — ask anything; it already knows
- BAM Studio — describe a report, get it owner-ready
- BAM Playbooks — write the rule once, it runs
- BAM Optimizers — rates, min-stays, gap nights, fees
Boom Apps
Keep Lodgify. Choose the tools you need — every one powered by BAM, every one working with the PMS you already run.
- Ops · $10 — CRM & guest chat, task management, field ops, reviews manager
- Pro · $20 — adds dynamic pricing, guest experience, direct booking site, accounting & statements, analytics, storage
- Each tool trialled and switched on independently
- Start in co-pilot mode — your team approves every message and rate change

- Lodgify's published pricing page — the four plans (Basic, Starter, Professional, Ultimate); the capabilities each plan lists, including task management, check-in/out automation, owner payments, reports and statements, guest invoices, advanced analytics and the guest mobile app on Ultimate; the “0% booking fee” on every plan; and the “extra tools” section naming Dynamic Pricing, Smart Locks and Damage Protection as add-ons. The “one property or 30+” wording is from the FAQ on the same page. Checked September 2026.
